Many students cannot understand why professors urge them to get involved into different extracurricular activities and how this may be beneficial for them. In fact, they think that this is just another way of making their life more complicated and a way of preventing them from having fun. Of course, it isn’t so, and let me explain why.
To my mind, grades are one of the realities that make students feel miserable and confused. Moreover, they aren’t always fair and can completely eradicate the desire to study in a diligent manner. If another person, who is not as assiduous as you are, still gets the same grades – why bother and spend sleepless nights hammering at books? And all of this is solely due to grades and their effect.
As of today, the ability to manage stress is one of the most important qualities that a person has to possess in order to become successful. Why is it so? About 20 years ago the situation was completely different – people lad settled and deliberate lives, and were happy with that state. But what do we have now?
The world changed drastically within this period. There arose many opportunities, people understood that in order to reach their goals it was necessary to have fast reactions, clear plans and many other constituents. Of course, in this situation stress is inevitable. That is why psychologists invented various techniques of how to cope with stress and succeed out of its overcoming. As for me, I also have a recipe, which I successfully follow whenever there stressful situations occur.
Being an active and energetic person, I didn’t think that anything in the nearest future could influence me so greatly that I would totally reconsider my whole perception of the world. I was studying at the last course of the university and got married to the person I knew very well and whom I truly loved. I thought I was a happy person. But the next year proved that I was wrong.
When I was a little girl, I was surrounded by uneasy and bothersome atmosphere. I lived with my grandparents and my mother, and all of them liked to say that their life was bad, poor and not the one they would like to live. They were constantly complaining about the life level, politicians, low salaries, health, etc. I, being an open-minded child, didn’t understand them. And I still don’t.
The profession of a teacher has been one of the most important and responsible ones in the history of mankind. A lot is changing in course of time, but the essence of a teacher’s vocation remains the same. He has to guide a person through the early stages of life and help children and teenagers form a strong personality and understand different unwritten laws of society. Below I will present the main criteria of teachers’ evaluation from my point of view.

For others it is interesting to observe the way people of other cultures and mentality live. Some people consider it to be the best way to have fun and always try to visit as many clubs, pubs, restaurants and cafes as possible for their wallets and time limits.

The issue is still one of the most topical ones and the modern society has subdivided into so-called pro-life and pro-choice groups.
Modern person has nowhere to hide from advertising in urban surrounding. When you go into any street, your eye automatically catches several advertisements and you get distracted from your thoughts and start thinking over their content. When you go somewhere by bus or metro, advertisements are also around you, and in these circumstances you pay even more attention to them, as you have more free time and usually don’t have any serious matters to think over. When you return home and turn on the TV – here it is again, interrupting the most interesting moment in the movie.
Internet is the phenomenon without which I cannot imagine my life. And according to statistics, almost two billion people (28,7% of population) around the world also can’t. It became an integral part of people’s daily lives, being a means of communication, work, entertainment, shopping and anything else. It is hard to believe that about 50 years ago it only started to develop.
