When children behave badly, should their parents accept responsibility for their behavior? Moreover, should the parents be punished for the bad behavior of their children? This is a seemingly difficult question to answer for many reasons. It’s because of a basic misunderstanding about the responsibility of parents in instructing their children. Many modern societies consider corporal punishment of children as unacceptable. There are laws in certain countries that can put parents behind bars for spanking their own kids. Although this is done in an effort to control child abuse, it can have a lot of negative repercussions. These laws can prohibit responsible parents from correcting their children and showing them the right way to behave in life.
There is no doubt that the Harry Potter series has made a huge impact on the minds of children. The debate is on whether that impact has been positive or negative. On one side there is a group that says the book promotes good behavior through the main characters in the story. They go through tough situations but yet stand up for the truth and do things that are morally right. They say that this has a very positive influence on children. The other group states that the inclusion of witchcraft and dark elements in the book can expose young minds to the world of the occult, which could be a serious problem. They feel that there are better ways to teach morals to children than by dabbling with witchcraft.

All of us are born in a family, which lives in a certain country at a specific point of time. Our outlook and perspective in life are largely shaped by the environment, in which we live. The inputs we have in our life would determine what kind of people we grow up to become. What goes into our minds can greatly influence what comes out of it later. No matter where a person is born and raised up, a wide exposure to other cultures and lands would have a profound influence on having the right perspective of the world around us.
It is human nature to preserve oneself in the first place. Still, we have some good traits that make us reach out to help those in need. We do this as individuals, as communities and even as nations. The outcome of giving international aid to poor countries has both advantages and disadvantages. We will briefly consider the disadvantages and the advantages below.
Language is one of the most complex entities known to people. We make use of a variety of languages around the world. Each person is even born with a mother tongue. Yet, we have not been able to completely understand the workings of a language. That is because language is not a manmade entity. Human beings did not sit down one day and decide to create different languages. According to the “Tower of Babel” account, the Lord Almighty created different languages in an effort to deter man from pursuing this evil project of building a tower up to heaven.
How would you like the idea of being locked in the cage and having thousands of people looking at you every day for their pleasure? Nobody would like things like that. But that’s an ordinary treatment animals get in the zoos. To my point of view, it is strictly important to forbid such places like zoos, as they are unsuitable to maintain the health and habits of poor animals.
It is universally known that going in for sports is an important component of healthy life. Almost all the people who want to feel good and look attractive go in for this or that kind of sports. When I was young, I remember a lot of boys, dreaming about becoming policemen to protect people from evil and violence and to be guardians of peace and order. The job police do is worth respect, which goes without saying. But nowadays the image of a strong policeman facing danger and protecting the life of simple citizens is darkened by a great amount of scandals with drugs and power abuse police have been involved in. There are a lot of stories that pop up here and there, where guys in blue uniform appear not as protectors, but as criminals. There are a lot of facts confirming that the behavior of the police very often is inexcusable: they can harass or beat people, take bribes and humiliate citizens for no reason. So instead of respect, people feel fear and disgust to the police in general, which does not do good to the patriotism or national pride for the state we are living in.
Not so long ago it turned out so, that I found myself at the hospital for recovery period after quite a serious surgical operation. My doctor was perfect – a real professional surgeon with a bit severe, but extremely careful attitude to a patient. Anyway, it was my nurse, who stuck in my memory, because she was taking care not only of my body, but also gave me great emotional support, which was more than necessary for me after a surgery when I felt weak and scared.
