Global Warming – Hot Button Issue
One of the most discussed and debated issues nowadays are global warming and its direct and indirect influence on the humanity and on the Earth as a whole. One of the biggest concerns of the global warming is its unexplored nature and, in the majority of cases, unknown patterns. What have changed during the last decade and what made this topic go on the top lines of the scientific researches?
Oil and natural gas are non-renewable sources of energy. There have been numerous attempts to minimize the danger of depletion of these two resources. Scientists have proposed many reasons for importance of their conservation and its convenient practical methods.

The debate on global warming and global climate change has been going on for several decades. One group is of the opinion that man in the name of technological progress has actually caused damage to the environment and was the reason of the global climate change. The other group believes that global change is a phenomenon that has been in progress for thousands of years and that it is nothing new to worry about. There have been heated arguments and discussions on both camps, but neither is willing to back down or come to a resolution.
You wake up and have breakfast of a plastic bottle of yoghurt and some food in plastic wrap. Then the bottle and the wrap go into the bin. After this, you clean your room and throw away all the old handouts, as you like your desk to be neat and tidy. It takes not more than half an hour, but this time is enough for ten trees to be cut down as well as one hundred plastic bottles and more than one thousand meters of plastic wrap to be produced. Unfortunately, it will take more than one hundred and fifty years for a new tree to grow and for a single plastic bottle to dissolve.
The solution is recycling. Substitute plastic with recyclable materials and use paper, metal and glass efficiently and you will contribute greatly to the creation of sustainable environment. I can foresee several arguments due to which you can object to recycling, but if given a bit of consideration, they will prove to be groundless.
My answer is definitely positive. The main question here is whether the benefits we obtain overweight the damage and risks we have to undergo. For example, we are all used to the fact that at the dairy store we can buy eggs and milk. At the local bakery we can buy bread and pastries. The majority of supermarkets can provide you with everything you need.
There are more and more cars sold each year all around the world especially in developed countries. With cars being so convenient, it is no wonder the trend is consistent. However, they also raise a whole scope of problems: air pollution, congestion, lack of parking space, the necessity of recycling schemes. Only in Britain the number of cars now roughly equals half of Britain’s population. It is clear that the growth must somehow be limited. This can be done in two ways.
The development of human civilization is moving forward at a high speed, and the amount of scientific, technical and other discoveries is growing bigger and bigger every century. Unfortunately, the progress of human race in terms of this development has a flip side of the coin, which is harmful influence upon the natural world of the planet.
Nowadays more and more animals become involved in scientific researches. There is a great number of points of view concerning this notion. Some people are against the use of animals in the science and some of them find it quite appropriate. Some people agree that it is highly important to use animals for scientific progress, while the others are longing for saving lives of the animals. Below we will consider the main facts, which will prove that it is impossible to avoid use of animals in the science researches.
