Society & Family - Part 12
It is true to say that cheating on one’s spouse exists as long as there is marriage; and of course every generation is completely and utterly sure that the age it lives in is the worst in what concerns morals, human relationships and social life in general. Strangely enough, but people seem to like complaining about such things.
It is hard to say whether cheating nowadays is more wide-spread than before, for there hardly can be any reliable information on this matter either from modern times or from the ages past, as cheating isn’t generally the thing that one strives to make public. Some people do everything to persuade us that it was better “then”; some people do everything to persuade us that “then” was just the same as “now”.
In 2009 it became well-known that such significant areas like rates of infant morality, stability of country’s economic, women’ opportunities and levels of education will be improved greatly if there will be such factor like government birth control low-cost options. The majority of people are looking for government’s help to curb the growth of population. But the governments keep on trying to find out what kind of role they need to place in the family planning helping.
The situation concerning the retirement age is very different in different parts of the world. Some people at the age of 70 or 80 are still in working process, they are taking care of their families, countries and business companies. The situation with the other people is different. They are fit and have good health but, in accordance with the national law regulations they have to retire much earlier. Below I’d like to discuss the dilemma concerning whether people have to have the right to work as many years as they want OR they should be retired at the fixed age.
We must admit that every little boy dreams to become an adult ASAP so as to be a true man. Time flies by and this guy is far not a teenager any more, but has he reached his original goal?
Male and female roles are changing dramatically in the modern society and that’s the fact. Women are extending their influence in all the spheres of life. They are active and influential politicians, successful businesswomen, brave astronauts and wise doctors. Women build career and take care of their families, spend the whole eternity in beauty salons and make astonishing achievements in science. Their energy has no limits, it seems.
As any other foreign culture, the American one differs from the environment I am used to at home. First of all, I’d like to mention I’d never shared my space before, even though I understand it is my personal problem. At the dormitory we live in, this problem is easily solved by giving students a choice whether to rent single or double room. Of course, the price for a single room is higher, but in this question your comfort is at stake.
The word “zoo” was introduced in the 19th century and first served as an abbreviation of the word combination “zoological garden” – the collection of different species of animals taken from the nature. They were created on the basis of many reasons: research making, education, conservation and recreation. In general, zoos are seen as some sort of alternative to a natural environment for the animals. Let’s find out if it’s true by means of examining the pros and cons of the zoos.
As the recent studies showed, more than 3% of the US adult people are vegetarians; 10% of others claim that they got used to follow vegetarian diet; 5% of them claim they are interested in vegetarian diet sometime in the future.
Usually people become vegetarians because of a number of set reasons. Almost all of them are related to the state of their health. 53% of people who gave up meat say that they follow vegetarian diet in order to improve their health condition. Among the rest of the reasons there are: animal safety, environmental cases, weight loss, weight upholding, etc. The point is that along with the fans of such lifestyle there are also those people who are very critical about vegetarianism.
With the way foreign aid for poor countries is becoming more and more popular, you may ask why do donor countries render assistance? Are the reasons related only to the humanitarian motives? Or maybe there are certain benefits for “the generous” too? Obviously there are. There is a whole bunch of economical reasons that are hard to understand for a non-professional. The ones I want to talk about are in the political field.
Let us recall what long distance relationships were like in the past – let’s say, two hundred years ago. She writes a long letter to her lover, sprays some perfume on it, then sends it and waits for long days to hear back from him. He spends weeks or even months waiting for any news from his darling, maybe looking outside his window longing for the post carriage. All of that was so moving and romantic, yet so unreliable.
There are a lot of questions humankind is searching an answer to for many years, but still with no results. “How come someone is rich and someone is poor?” is one of them. There can be a general explanation for this, when it comes to people – someone works harder, others have a better background, some simply were in the right place at the right time. It is way harder to explain why some countries are wealthier than others. But the scheme of interaction between them is very similar to how rich and poor people interact. Loaning money is part and parcel of these relations.
