Society & Family - Part 16
Since the dawn of civilization, men have been responsible for hunting and providing food to their families. Women had to look after the needs of the family and raise the kids. This has been the norm for several millennia until the world wars. During the First and the Second World Wars, when the men went away to fight, the factories and business establishments hired women to replace them in large numbers. Since families also needed money to sustain themselves during the wars, huge numbers of women went to work in factories and offices. A number of armament factories also needed women to work in their assembly lines to manufacture the guns, bombs, tanks and airplanes used in the war.
Until the First World War, the kinds of weapons used in battles had limited potential to destroy life and property on a large scale. But with the invention of the nuclear bomb, the scenario changed drastically. The whole world was stunned by the devastation that two solitary bombs dropped on Hiroshima and Nagasaki could create. No other manmade device could unleash the amount of damage as the nuclear bomb. Although the United States could put an end to the Second World War with these bombs, it opened up the world to a new set of intriguing and frightening possibilities.

We can provide people with the main benefits they can get by using public transport and make the transportation prices more affordable.
Very often the mature age of a person is given a poetic name of the autumn of life. It is the time when you can finally stop a bit and enjoy the results of your professional, personal and spiritual development. It is the period when the dynamic and bubbling energy of action and creation is more and more often giving place to static and calm observing and reflecting. Physically such an emotional state of a person is usually achieved at the age of 60-65 years.
A lot of feministic organization and their female fans still deeply believe the fact, that women are discriminated and not given high level positions only because of their female sex. Is it really so?
Apparently, mass media cannot become less attractive to the modern society. The images and impressions it bears have already received the status of forth ruling force together with legislation, judiciary and executive power. The media images of teenage drug use, therefore, provide huge negative influence over immature minds of young blood, creating sick and pervasive understanding of individual and social values.
Animal testing stands for using animals in different scientific experiments, mostly related to medicine, pharmaceutical and beauty industry. Some animals are purpose-bred, so from the very beginning their life is meant to finish in the laboratory, others are caught in the wild or bought from the auctions. Almost 100% of the animals, taking part in these experiments either die themselves or are euthanized.
Over the past 10 years information technology has become part and parcel of the majority of working practices all over the world. At present if a particular company experiences difficulties with the Internet connection or their computer system, it brings their working process to a standstill. It is high time we took stock of the influence of information technology on the working world and decided whether it is an entirely positive phenomenon.
The freedom to choose is one of the most basic needs of man. Without the freedom of thought, the freedom of expression and the freedom of choice, man cannot function in the way he is designed to be. A government that rules over a nation, therefore, has to provide its citizens with the freedom to choose their own rulers. This is the reason that people in democratic nations are able to shine and live a life that makes a difference in this world. In communist nations, where this basic freedom of choice is curtailed, people would not be able to realize their full potential in their lifetime. Therefore, a government first of all has to provide freedom of choice.
Wherever there are laws, there would always be people in this world to break them. The need to enforce laws and punish lawbreakers is an inevitable part of life. People go against the law due to many reasons. What is of high importance is determining the right way to handle these people so that they could be reintroduced to society as responsible and useful citizens.
