Society & Family - Part 5
From the early childhood our parents explain what is right and what is wrong to us. We believe them, from time to time testing their patience and trying out whether what they say is true or not. This period of experiments usually lasts till the age of 14-15. Then we have already acquired a considerable amount of knowledge about the surrounding world and don’t think that anything can change our views. But there are certain periods which do influence our world perception greatly, such as college, university, work, marriage, having children and many others.
Many countries in the world have already abolished mandatory conscription to the military forces, some don’t have armed forces at all, while there are still nations where this conscription is obligatory. Everything depends on the significance of the country on the international level, the influence it has on the other countries, as well as the plans and ambitions of each government.
Despite being called the best time of people’s lives, teenage years bring a lot of problems with them. It is one of the milestones in personal development, which influence world perception and define future in a great extent. Teens try to find their place in life and this often seems too overwhelming for them.
There are people who are double-faced and have two different characters – one for the public and other for close friends and for the time alone. Usually, these two faces are completely different and even opposite. Not only is such double life irritating for surrounding people, but it is also hard for the person as well. Too much energy is spent on sustaining two images, and if one of them will become known to the other group of people, the reputation will be greatly damaged and can hardly be renovated.
Cities, especially large ones, offer a lot of opportunities to people who live there. They perfectly suit people with great ambitions and high expectations from life. Still, not everyone who was born and brought up in the city is satisfied with the surrounding atmosphere and longs for life in a village. So, what kind of people prefers city life and why others strive to move to the country?
As of today, the ability to manage stress is one of the most important qualities that a person has to possess in order to become successful. Why is it so? About 20 years ago the situation was completely different – people lad settled and deliberate lives, and were happy with that state. But what do we have now?
The world changed drastically within this period. There arose many opportunities, people understood that in order to reach their goals it was necessary to have fast reactions, clear plans and many other constituents. Of course, in this situation stress is inevitable. That is why psychologists invented various techniques of how to cope with stress and succeed out of its overcoming. As for me, I also have a recipe, which I successfully follow whenever there stressful situations occur.
Being an active and energetic person, I didn’t think that anything in the nearest future could influence me so greatly that I would totally reconsider my whole perception of the world. I was studying at the last course of the university and got married to the person I knew very well and whom I truly loved. I thought I was a happy person. But the next year proved that I was wrong.
When I was a little girl, I was surrounded by uneasy and bothersome atmosphere. I lived with my grandparents and my mother, and all of them liked to say that their life was bad, poor and not the one they would like to live. They were constantly complaining about the life level, politicians, low salaries, health, etc. I, being an open-minded child, didn’t understand them. And I still don’t.
The profession of a teacher has been one of the most important and responsible ones in the history of mankind. A lot is changing in course of time, but the essence of a teacher’s vocation remains the same. He has to guide a person through the early stages of life and help children and teenagers form a strong personality and understand different unwritten laws of society. Below I will present the main criteria of teachers’ evaluation from my point of view.
Travelling is the kind of activity, which almost all the people love. For someone it is an opportunity to relax and abstract from everyday busy life. For others it is interesting to observe the way people of other cultures and mentality live. Some people consider it to be the best way to have fun and always try to visit as many clubs, pubs, restaurants and cafes as possible for their wallets and time limits.
