DISCUSSION 1

Subsystems

Subsystems refer to a single, predefined working environment through which the system coordinates the workflow and resources used. The subsystems include technical, structural, managerial, and social subsystems. Local school districts are specifically meant to operate local primary and secondary schools in U.S. Hillsborough county public school, a school district based in Florida.

The subsystems in this district include; technical subsystem that shows the general duties and responsibilities that need to be accomplished by teachers and students for effective learning. Secondly, social subsystems represent values, ethics, interactions in the office, and professional codes. Thirdly, a managerial subsystem coordinates all the activities to ensure set goals and objectives are achieved, and the organization is moving in the right direction. Lastly, a structural subsystem deals with working environment settings and the general relationship between individuals.

I face some challenges in understanding and analysing how structural subsystems. Therefore I will commit myself to understanding it better. I will visit the organization to make inquiries and read the relevant reading materials to help understand it better. Also, I will ask my course mates about the subsystem, and in case they don’t understand it, I will ask the lecture to address it during our next class, help us know deeply, and apply its basic concepts.

Understanding this subsystem will help understand how the various function, duties, and responsibilities are coordinated within the organization to promote development and positive changes in education (Angst 2020). Lastly, it will help me understand the roles of each system and the persons responsible for each, how they operate, the challenges faced in each, and what steps can be taken to help improve their efficiency and effectiveness.

DISCUSSION 2

LEADERSHIP

Personal improvement deals with looking for strategies to help solve problems and implement new plans to better solutions for the existing problems. The article is about leaders needing to focus on governance and funding to achieve mission and vision and set goals. These two areas are significant in promoting cohesiveness, collaboration, adherence to the organization’s policies, strategies, and directions to help achieve goals and objectives.

As one of the articles, funding deals with allocating financial resources on various projects and purchasing assets such as learning materials. Funding will help me develop financial management skills on giving money to ensure close monitoring of every project and spending. Finance is very critical in an organization and determines the growth and sustainability of the organization. Poor financial management resulting from inefficiency and misallocations leads to a failure and collapse of an organization. Therefore, funding will equip with skills on monitoring expenses, close follow-up of projects until their completion, proper finance allocation, and the critical steps employed when preparing funding plans.

Education governance dashboard. Governance provides evaluation and performance, thus helping employees to move in the right and desired way, reduce errors and mistakes committed while performing tasks, assisting the organization in skills (Hurt 2021). Today, funding is very significant to help achieve set goals and objectives. In this article, all the essentials of governance have been addressed and how learning institution needs to be governed. There is a clear definition of governance’s roles, responsibilities, and ethics. Lastly, governance will help me identify committed employees, best reward systems, and proper planning corresponding with PEST and SWOT analysis to help identify the organizational environment.

In conclusion, being a leader involves looking for the best ways and strategies that bring success to the organization to help achieve goals when the time expected reaches. To ensure goals and objectives are achieved, understanding the concept of funding will help in resource monitoring. In contrast, governance is another crucial component that helps provide directions, define goals and objectives, duties and responsibilities well allocated to responsible employees, and the best action plan to act as a route map.
